What is the first creative memory you have?

I remember always doing craft projects with my mom. We would make anything out of anything and it was so much fun. There was never a shortage of things to hang on the fridge.

What or whom began your creative journey on Etsy?

I decided to take a leave of absence from my Ph.D. program and needed something to boost my spirits. There's something so satisfying about making something. Watching pieces transform into a new thing is so instantaneously gratifying.

How did you come up with your shop name?

My fiance and I were trying to think of a name and he came up with as a joke. I decided to go with it because it sounds fun and silly.

Describe what creations you have in your shop

All of my items are made with vintage buttons. I have a collection of wine charms and magnets. I'm also working on a line of pillows. I also have some science themed things because I'm a biologist.

What insprires you?

I am always inspired by my beautiful button collection. I also really like the shapes of molecules, especially amino acids. They are so beautiful and so important to your biology.

What do you listen to or watch while creating?

I listen to big band music pretty much all the time whether I'm creating or doing something else.

Please share a favorite recipe

I just made this black bean and corn salad, and I couldn't get enough of it. I can't wait to make it again.

1 bag frozen corn
1 can of black beans
2 or 3 tomatoes, diced
1 bell pepper, diced (choose your favorite color. I like orange)
1 clove of garlic, finely minced
juice of 2 limes
a few Tbs of oil
hot chili sauce (I use sriracha)
fresh cilantro, chopped
salt and pepper

Cook the corn according to the package directions. Let cool slightly. Mix all the ingredients. Serve immediately or store for a few days in the fridge. It's great served cold, room temp, or warmed!

Where else can we find you?

Online, just Etsy.
Elsewhere, around Nashville or at the dog park with my puppies.

Now please show Becky some support and let us know which of her pieces are your favorite from her shop! Oh...and go ahead and heart a few of her items along with her shop :)
